Stephanie took over the Fort Worth territory of Sit Means Sit in 2017, and James married into the adventure in 2019. They live in Wise county with their blended family of 9 humans, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Together they enjoy serving the communities in their territory by making quality dog training achievable for every dog owner in the area. Stephanie and James are passionate about enabling every member of their team to support their families well and build lives they love.
Jaclyn lives in Arlington with her husband, daughter, and three fur kids. She’s always known that she wanted a career working with dogs, and has been a trainer with Sit Means Sit since 2018. Her favorite part of dog training is watching pups transform into well-behaved, happy animals, and she loves being able to give owners the tools they need to be able to enjoy being with their dogs. Jaclyn says the best gift she ever received was her sweet four-legged assistant, Bentley, whose good behavior demonstrates her passion and talent as a trainer.
In 2013, Mindy brought home a blue heeler mix rescue pup. He was super sweet, but his endless energy and behavior challenges soon became a problem. She reached out to Sit Means Sit for help and after seeing the results from the program, decided she wanted to share that experience with other dog owners. Now Mindy is one of our most experienced trainers and her dog Naria has learned from our system since she was a 9 week old puppy. Mindy and Naria enjoy each other’s company and often spend time hiking and going to farmers markets and puppy playdates.
Tammy has had a lifelong passion for dogs, which began in her childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. Her journey into dog training started when her aging grandfather requested her help in training a lab puppy to become his service dog. Seeking guidance, Tammy reached out to Sit Means Sit, a decision that would shape her future. Through this experience, she discovered her true calling: helping dogs and their owners build strong, harmonious relationships.
With a degree in child development, Tammy brings a unique perspective to her training approach, understanding the importance of communication and connection—skills that are invaluable when working with both dogs and their owners. Over the past seven years at Sit Means Sit, she has honed her skills and has risen to the position of lead trainer. As a certified dog trainer, Tammy is dedicated to empowering families to live their best lives together with their furry companions.
When she’s not training, Tammy enjoys spending time with her own dogs, exploring the outdoors, and continuing her education in canine behavior and training techniques.
I have been an animal lover my entire life, but really became passionate about dogs when I rescued my first Border Collie 30 years ago. I learned so much about what an important family member a dog can be. He brought so much joy to us and our young children at the time. I quickly realized that not all dogs are as well behaved and people were missing out on the benefits of a well trained dog. I have since added 4 other dogs into my family and realized in 2018 I wanted to share my knowledge and skills to help other families have the relationship with their dogs that I had. Received certification at Animal Behavior College in 2018 and fulfilled my goal of becoming a full time dog trainer and joined Sit Means Sit in 2020. Knowing that I can contribute to helping dogs find forever homes is my motivation to do the best possible job and help dogs become happy, obedient and confident members of the family.
I have been passionate about working with dogs since 2020 when I first discovered Sit Means Sit. In 2023, I joined the Sit Means Sit team and have been dedicated to helping dogs and their owners ever since. My love for dogs drives me to excel in my role as a professional dog trainer, and in 2023, I obtained my certification from Sit Means Sit School. I thrive to see that “lightbulb” moment in the dogs, where they understand and excel in their training. I am committed to providing the best care and training for our furry friends, ensuring a happy and fulfilling life for them and their owners.
I started my career in the dog world in a doggie day care setting. I began working as a canine coach where I learned a lot about dog body language and varying dog breeds. I continued my work education in other fields which landed me in an operations management position. I soon realized I didn’t enjoy this direction because I missed working hands on with the dogs. I moved into the training world with Sit Means Sit Fort Worth in August of 2023. I have 2 of my own dogs, Magnolia and Boston. When Maggie was untrained, she was reactive and unpredictable with other dogs. However, through her time training in the Sit Means Sit method, she has become a very chill, go-with-the-flow dog! She does a good job keeping her brother in check. I am looking forward to showing more families how they can help their own dogs live their best life!
Kaila is a dedicated facility trainer who has been with the company since June 2023. With a lifelong passion for dogs, she grew up accompanying her grandmother, a skilled dog groomer, which ignited her love for canines from a young age. Currently, Kaila shares her home with a German Shepherd, and has years of experience breeding Dobermans, reflecting her deep commitment to the well-being and responsible training of dogs. Her extensive experience and enthusiasm for animal care make her a valuable asset to the Sit Means Sit team.
